Lozionica – where ideas and inspiration create the future

The old Ložionica was built in 1926 and, together with the building of the Main Railway Station, was a great technological achievement of the time. The furnace provided the fuel that powered the engines of the Second Industrial Revolution – railroads, iron and steel, manufacturing machinery, steam and electricity. Today Ložionica will be repurposed to fuel the engines of the Fourth Industrial Revolution – creativity, innovation and knowledge. Ložionica will be a creatively innovative multifunctional center, a gathering place for creative and innovative people from different creative disciplines, a place where ideas and inspiration create the future.

In its 4,800 square meters surface, Ložionica will provide numerous opportunities for various creative activities – workshops, classrooms, meeting rooms, presentations and rehearsals, exhibition spaces. Ložionica will have a ground floor and a gallery and will also have a hall for events, the so-called Black box, designed and equipped according to the elaborations of our greatest experts in acoustics, which will be able to be used for various types of events and gatherings. Next to Ložionica, a new office building of 11,000 square meters is being built, which will also have office space for the management of the Ložionica, the Office for IT and eGovernment of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as numerous other partners, and a large part of the space will be available to start-ups and small innovative companies.

The water tower, which is part of the Ložionica complex, will be restored with special care and will be a place for multimedia and digital exhibitions.

A beautiful park will be located around the former turnout which will be suitable for holding numerous events and outdoor activities.

Almost a third of the plot area will be covered with greenery and will therefore be extremely attractive as a space for relaxation and inspiration.

The planned completion of construction is in the spring of 2025.
